The Graduate School of Economic Behavior and Governance is the structured graduate program offered by the department of economics at the University of Kassel.

ProgramGSEBGo aims to provide an excellent environment for research work, training, and collaboration for Ph.D. students. It shares the resources and facilities with the University of Kassel and is associated with the inter-university MAGKS program. GSEBGo students provide research work on a wide range of topics e.g. Experimental and Behavioral Economics; Energy and environmental economics; Spatial and international economics; Innovation economics and entrepreneurship.
GSEBGo Doctoral SeminarsGSEBGo Doctoral Seminars provide an opportunity for PhDs to present their research work and receive feedback from the peers and senior researchers. The Ph.D. student presentation (20-25 minutes) is accompanied by a presentation by a discussant (5-10 minutes) and a general discussion. It is compulsory to present at least once a year for all Ph.D. students starting from the second year of their doctorate.

CoursesThe research-oriented courses constitute the core of GSEBGo activity. Every GSEBGo Ph.D. student must acquire 30 ECTS for the research-oriented courses (at least 24 ECTs at the field of research methods or topic specific courses).
